Main part versioning scheme

Main part versions are distinguished by an 8-digit number coding the date when work on it began followed by a dash and the initials of its author; further indications are occasionally included after a dot. If you plan to write new main part versions it is advisable to adhere to this naming scheme in order to reduce the risk of file naming conflicts.
